The Copyright Society of the USA (CSUSA) New York Chapter, in conjunction with GiantSteps Media Technology Strategies, will present the eighth annual Copyright and Technology NYC 2017 conference. The event provides a unique forum where technologists, attorneys, media industry executives, and public policy decision-makers gather to discuss hot issues at the intersection of copyright and technology. This year’s topics include blockchain technology, music royalty processing, digital rights management, the FCC’s open set-top box proposal, and copyright issues for virtual reality.

Copyright and Technology NYC 2017 will be headlined by a keynote presentation from Michael Smith and Rahul Telang of Carnegie-Mellon University, authors of the book Streaming, Sharing, Stealing: Big Data and the Future of Entertainment, who will discuss big data analytics and its disruptive effects on the entertainment industries.
