Invitae is a rapidly growing genetic information company driven by the mission to expand access to comprehensive genetic information to improve the quality of healthcare for billions of people. Genetics can help employers save money on healthcare, improve employee health and reduce work time lost to preventable illnesses.  To support our growth in this exciting area, Invitae is looking to add an experienced sales person to lead our partnership with employers to the next level.


  • Partner with Invitae’s Direct Channel Lead to build a new business segment

  • Work with senior-level benefits and employee rewards professionals within target employers to incorporate Invitae into their employee benefits offerings

  • Work closely with target accounts and internal teams to solve problems creatively & innovatively to ensure our offering benefits all stakeholders

  • Bring back the “voice of the customer” to inform our new product development process

  • Forge working relationships with healthcare consultants and other partners

  • Partner with our client relationship management team to ensure smooth on-boarding of accounts as well as transition of the relationship


  • 10+ years of b2b sales experience

  • 3+ years of experience in direct sales of health and wellness benefits to HR

  • Solid knowledge of healthcare benefits landscape and evolution

  • Strong relationship building ability: you enjoy building new relationships and customers naturally want to work with you

  • You’re entrepreneurial and hard working. You love rolling up your sleeves to build a book of business and have a sense of urgency

  • You’re able to work independently and collaboratively as required, always with a strategic awareness of what really matters

  • Successful experience working with decision-makers at the highest levels within organizations

  • Experience successfully selling complex products / services with long sales cycles

  • Consultative approach to sales (understanding pain-points of customers and addressing their needs through solution selling)

  • Comfort tracking opportunities with a CRM (e.g. Salesforce)

  • Willingness to travel (when it is safe to do so)

Location – can be based anywhere in the continental U.S.
