Last year, Amazon logged more transactions on Cyber Monday than any other company, more than four times as many as the runner-up, Walmart, according to Inc. Magazine. Amazon also announced plans this month to add a headquarters in Queens, as well as one in a Virginia suburb.
Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio both support the deal in New York. Critics have objected to using public subsidies to help Amazon expand here. That makes today the perfect opportunity to calmly discuss Amazon. Or to protest loudly.
